I'm delighted to announce that I am starting a new class at The Barn in Westdene, Brighton. Set to ambient music and taught by candlelight with subtle essential oils, this class aims to offer a deeply relaxing experience for all the senses.
The adverse effects on the body and mind of being in a heightened state of stress-response are many. In today's stressful times it is now more important than ever to give you and your body the time to rest and come to stillness. The class will help you to access a state of inner tranquillity which you can come back to time and time again in your daily life.
The yoga will be slow, with longer holds and with plenty of options offered for every body to emphasise comfort and ease in the body and mind, and the class will include breathing and meditation techniques to induce calm and to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system (the system responsible for slowing down the body, preparing it for rest and sleep).
